footnotes and The Alexandria Deli have teamed up to create a sensory walk through Montazah Gardens, where stories and flavors bring the past to life.

Together, we’ll explore its elegant paths, uncovering royal history, seaside memories, and Mediterranean flavors.

Walk with us as we bring Montazah’s gardens, and their forgotten flavors, back to life.

what will I experience?

With footnotes, you’ll discover hidden stories and forgotten corners of the royal gardens, while The Alexandria Deli treats you to nostalgic flavors inspired by Sham El Nessim celebrations.

Highlights include:

• Royal Train Station Museum

• Royal Greenhouse

• Salamlik and Haramlik Palaces (viewed from the outside)

• Sadat's Chalet

Along with many hidden details, artistic touches, and human stories along the way.  

Midway through the tour, The Alexandria Deli will host a special picnic, giving us time to relax, connect, and enjoy nostalgic flavors.

1. Welcoming coffee from The Alexandria Deli to get us started.

2. Story led walk through Montazah Gardens with footnotes.

3. Special picnic by The Alexandria Deli. A taste of the past you won’t forget.

4. footnotes will also provide custom handouts for all participants.

5. All necessary tickets, including entry to Montazah Gardens, the Royal Train Station Museum, and the Royal Greenhouse.

• Locals x expats with residence: EGP 1,500

• Foreigners: EGP 1,850 (to cover the extra cost of entry tickets)
